The Leadership Team is excited to announce that this week we met with our District Superintendent Morris Matthis and we are thrilled to share with you that the Rev. Ryan Trushenski has been appointed as pastor to the Water’s Edge community with his appointment beginning on July 1. 

Ryan comes to us with a strong background in missions and outreach and he is very excited to see where the Lord is leading our congregation.  He is currently on staff at Wildwood UMC, serving in men’s ministry and missions.  He previously attended The Woodlands United Methodist Church where he helped lead missions and outreach, marriage ministry, and has been an active leader in recovery ministry.

He is a graduate of the University of Houston, received his MBA at Carnegie Mellon University, and completed a masters at Asbury Theological Seminary.  He and his wife Julie are parents to 3 children, 2 of which are currently in college and one a student at The Woodlands High School. Ryan will be serving at Water’s Edge in a part time capacity and continuing to serve at Wildwood UMC part time as well.

There is much more that will be shared about Pastor Ryan in the coming weeks and he is looking forward to meeting with each of the families at Water’s Edge.  I know that many of you have been in prayer for this congregation and for the leadership that God would bring.
